Tidbits
Cycling
I finally notched my first win of the season. As might be expected it was in a time trial and I did it in the Cat 4 race down at the Savannah Georgia Cup event. I was pretty dominating though that's to be expected as I should probably be racing Cat 3. The year I took last year to race Masters hasn't panned out as a bunch of former pros have decided to crash the Georgia Master's race scene. It makes competing in the class really hard so I've decided to go back and work through the catagories. The Sunday crit was scary with four crashes. I didn't go down but I did have to unclip for the first time in almost two years in a race because of them. Hopefully I can get some results over the next few months and move up to the threes.
Committee Work
Tons of meetings this week and last. I'm on committees to deal with creating an honors program and a pilot program to help high risk studnets. Lots of work but we're making progress. I'm just tired of getting home so late and then having to get on the bike. I can't wait until May.
The Yard
I've been trying to get out and hack away at the jungle that our backyard has become. Our neighbor bent the blade on my lawn tractor so I haven't been able to use that which means mowing takes a lot longer. That means I have a lot less time to do other stuff. I'm still clearing damage from the winter's ice storm as well so progress has been slow. Again, I can't wait until May.
Thanks for reading and I'll try to update again soon.
